Upon winning the general election in November, Senator Corzine will be faced with an interesting dilemma this fall. His choice to replace himself in the Senate will tell us all something about who our new Governor really is. As the former Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, he will also recognize the need to pick a replacement who can keep that seat in Democratic hands. Tom Kean, Jr. is showing signs of posing a formidable Republican challenge. Who will be considered electable next fall and acceptable to the Senator? These numbers suggest there are several potential candidates.
